GMAT Test Preparation
Students interested in attending business school or getting an MBA may be required to complete the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT). This test measures verbal, analytical, and math skills. It generally takes three and a half hours to complete. The verbal section consists of 41 questions that must be completed in 75 minutes. It focuses on critical reading, reasoning skills, and sentence correction. The math or quantitative section is comprised of 37 questions in the next 75 minutes. Problem solving and data analysis skills are measured. And the analytical writing component allows 30 minutes each for two essays. This involves students considering an issue in one and analyzing an argument in the other essay.
